School Community Fellowship

Each year, many Catholic communities across the world celebrate Shrove Tuesday. It marks the day before Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent, a time for fasting, almsgiving, and prayer.

At St. Mary’s School, our school community gathered for our annual Pancake Breakfast to kick off the season of Lent with joy and togetherness. This year, our breakfast drew in a record number of families, and friends. The aroma of pancakes and sizzling sausage filled the air, as our school team prepared over 500 meals to an eager, and hungry crowd.

The event was filled with laughter, fellowship, and a sense of unity. As people enjoyed their pancakes, they also had the opportunity to share stories, and a few laughs with one another. This was not just a celebration of food, but a celebration of community, faith, and a reminder that the journey of Lent is not done alone.

This year’s Shrove Tuesday pancake breakfast brought people together to nourish both their bodies and spirits, showing our school community the power of faith, fellowship, and service in the Catholic tradition.
