One of our most heartwarming initiatives was the Kinettes Pajama Drive. Our students eagerly participated, donating over 90 pairs of pajamas to ensure local families had something warm and cozy for Christmas. This incredible act of kindness demonstrated the true spirit of giving that is so important during the holiday season.
In addition, Sacred Heart/Ecole Sacre worked to provide Christmas hampers to families in need, ensuring that everyone in our community could enjoy a joyful holiday. We also collaborated with the city police to collect items for the Angel Tree program, further extending our outreach to support those who needed it most.
The Christmas spirit was also alive on stage as students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 6 showcased their acting and singing talents in our Christmas concert, A Star is Born. The event was a resounding success, drawing a wonderful turnout from families and community members who came to celebrate the season with us. The performances were filled with enthusiasm, joy, and holiday magic, making it a highlight of the school year.
Another cherished tradition was our Grade 6 students hosting the annual Christmas Mass at St. John the Baptist Parish. The service was a beautiful reflection of faith and community, bringing students, staff, and families together in worship. Following the Mass, our Catholic School Community Council generously sponsored our annual Christmas Dinner. This beloved event provided a warm and festive meal, fostering a sense of togetherness that our staff and students look forward to each year.
Sacred Heart Elementary is incredibly proud of the kindness, generosity, and spirit of our students and families. December was a wonderful reminder of the power of giving, community, and celebration. We look forward to continuing these meaningful traditions in the years to come.
