Preparation for Demolition at Former Holy Rosary School and Catholic Education Centre
Demolition crews are active at the former Holy Rosary School and Catholic Education Centre. Asbestos abatement is complete, and professionals will conduct final air quality tests during the first week of March. Following this, we will disconnect all utilities with the City of Regina, SaskPower, and SaskEnergy.
Ahead of the main demolition phase, the Regina Police Service and RCMP will hold training exercises on the site. Their SWAT and Explosives Units are scheduled to use the facility for training purposes from March 17-20. Please be aware that neighbors may hear some controlled activities during this period, overseen by onsite experts.
The main demolition work begins on Monday, March 24, and will last between four to six weeks. We sincerely appreciate the support of our former neighbors in Cathedral Village and ask for their continued patience during this important phase of redevelopment.
