Safer Spaces – Regina Catholic Schools

Feb 20, 2025 | Good News, Regina Catholic School Division

We love and support each person. Regina Catholic Schools is working together to create safer spaces for all. The “Safer Spaces Tree” is a symbol of growth within RCSD, and show our spirit and ideal of diversity, equity, inclusion, & accessibility in our communities.

When we moved the Catholic Education Centre, our main division office, to our current location near the airport, we commissioned a staff member to build this Safer Spaces Tree into a stained-glass work of art. Technology Services Customer Support Specialist Justine Hickey created a version of the tree that glows with the light each day. The sun shining through the windows and the colours lights up our entry way, greeting staff, students and guests with a beautiful reminder of our commitment to welcoming all.

Justine, thank you for sharing your talent with us!
