New Director Announced – Regina Catholic Schools

Feb 3, 2025 | Good News, Regina Catholic School Division

The Regina Catholic School Division Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that it has hired a new Director of Education, Kelley Ehman. She will replace Sean Chase, who will retire after the 2024-25 school year.

Board Chair Ryan Bast says, The Board of Trustees is grateful to Sean Chase for his years with Regina Catholic Schools. From student to teacher, administrator to Director of Education, Sean was an integral part of Regina Catholic Schools. Thanks to his leadership and innovation, our school and faith communities are stronger. As we welcome Kelley Ehman into the role, we look forward to continued growth. Her strong faith and experience in Regina Catholic Schools make her a great fit to lead our staff moving forward.

Kelley grew up in the community of Holdfast in one of the many farm families with German Catholic roots. Her RCSD career began in1995 teaching at St. Theresa School. She  continued teaching in high school and served as English Department Head at Dr. Martin Leboldus Catholic High School. Before becoming an administrator, Kelley was a Curriculum Consultant. In 2009, she was named Vice Principal at Michael A. Riffel Catholic High School, and later Principal at Archbishop M.C. O’Neill Catholic High School.  Kelley will move from her current role as Superintendent of Education Services, a position she’s held since 2015.

Says Kelley, “I am proud to have served Catholic education with Regina Catholic Schools for many years, and feel particularly blessed that our children benefitted from a faith-based education as graduates of St. Gabriel and Dr. Martin Leboldus High School. I look forward to supporting the incredible work of the RCSD family in a new role and am excited to work with the Board of Trustees to realize the mission and vision of the school division as we embark on what I hope will be the beginning of the next 125 years of Catholic education in Regina!”

As a champion of the arts, athletics, curricular and extra-curricular experiences, we’re confident Kelley Ehman will continue the tradition of educating each student as an individual gift from God.
