Michael A. Riffel Catholic High School opened in 1985. As a Catholic high school, Riffel is dedicated to providing a well-rounded education that fosters academic excellence, spiritual growth and social responsibility. Riffel high school is a faith-filled community where the values and teachings of Jesus Christ infuse all that we do. The school originally opened with 145 students, and has now grown to fulfill the needs of more than 1,100 students.
Home to the Riffel Royals, the school was named in honour of Mr. Michael A. Riffel, former trustee of the Regina Catholic School Division. In November 1981, Grand Knight Fern Larrive presented Mr. Riffel with a plaque honouring him for his 26 years as a trustee for the Catholic School System, and for his contribution to Catholic Education in Regina.
Riffel’s associate elementary schools are St. Bernadette School, St. Jerome School, St. Joan Of Arc School, St. Josaphat School and St. Nicholas School.
