GSCS receives Partner of the Year award

At the Saskatoon Open Doors Society’s 8th Annual Diversity Awards Gala on March 8, 2024, Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools was honored as one of the six organizations and three individuals recognized with awards. GSCS was named Partner of the Year among the over 100 nominations across nine different award categories. Nominees were from a wide variety of industries and individuals who are community builders and lead by example. According to a social media post from Open Doors, “These awards are a testament to your hard work and dedication to enhancing equity, diversity and inclusion in and out of the workplace.”

The award is recognition of the school division’s work toward the goal of creating a workforce that reflects the diversity of Saskatchewan’s community. We believe in creating a work environment that is inclusive and respects each individual’s strengths and differences.   • Immigrant Newcomer Entrepreneur Award: Pendu Hunter Productions
  • Employer of Choice Award for Small Enterprise: MAGNUS Construction Services
  • Employer of Choice Award for Large Enterprise: Little Einstein’s Babysitters and Nannies
  • Immigrant Woman Resilience Award: Dr. Rana Mustafa and Nayyar Javid
  • Workplace Diversity, Inclusion, and Leadership Award for Small Enterprise: Saskatoon Kids Physio
  • Workplace Diversity, Inclusion, and Leadership Award for Large Enterprise: University of Saskatchewan
  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Dr. Asit Sarkar
