Black Futures project gets students Living In Harmony Award

yra Jackson, a Grade 4 student at Saskatoon French School and Hezekiah Imafidon, a Grade 5 student at St. Thérèse of Lisieux Catholic School received a 2024 Living In Harmony Award in the Student Award category. These students were selected for special recognition for their gifts and their contributions to ensuring others know the importance of Black History. The students (with help from GSCS staff) held a Black History and Black Future’s Month event was held on Facebook.

The City of Saskatoon’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Advisory Committee selects award recipients and are usually announced March 21, the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
